Deonna French, Ann Arbor
I'm finishing the 2+2 nursing program at WCC, which means I'll transfer to U-M in the fall to finish the
last two years of my B.S.N. Becoming a nurse is a childhood dream of mine; I love helping others and making
them feel better. It's rewarding to receive a smile, a hug or a simple thank-you. The nursing road is long and
can be complicated but the world needs me, and others like me, who are willing to give their time and love for others.
Students come to Washtenaw Community College for a number of reasons. Some are preparing to transfer to a
four-year university while others come seeking a degree to improve their job status. Whatever the reason,
students find that WCC can make a difference in their lives.
