Learn from Experts in the Field

Russ Ferguson
Russ is a life-long resident of Ann Arbor who left long enough to earn a bachelor degree in secondary education/automotive technology from Central Michigan University. Instead of going into the classroom out of college, Russ worked in the automobile and truck repair industry. He was employed as a truck fleet and dealership mechanic before getting a job in a dynamometer test lab, where he worked as a technician, set-up mechanic, emissions lab tech, and project manager. In addition to his degree, Russ:
  • is ASE certificated as a master automobile technician
  • has a State of Michigan master mechanic license
  • is working on his master's degree in technology education
  • was named New Teacher of the Year by NACAT, North American Council of Automotive Teachers
A self-described car nut, Russ is a really big fan of NASCAR racing and other forms of motor sports.
