This curriculum offers both academic and clinical experiences, which will prepare you for employment as an entry-level Physical Therapist Assistant.

PTAs work under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist.

PTAs use academic training, clinical education, critical thinking and problem solving skills to implement and adjust therapeutic interventions based on a plan of care developed by the physical therapist. This program will teach you the communication skills for patient and family interactions, the proper documentation of patient care, and techniques to interact with members of the health care team.

Physical Therapist Assistants work in a variety of physical therapy settings including hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation facilities, schools, and extended care facilities. Employment opportunities are excellent. Opportunities for continuing education are also available.

Are you a caring individual with strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills? Then consider the rewarding field of Physical Therapist Assistant.
