The Advanced Placement Program is designed for those individuals possessing prior education in Radiological Sciences. To be eligible for this program, you must show documentation of the following:

  • Completion of a U.S. military or JRCERT accredited program in Radiography
  • Clinical radiography experience
Successful completion of the Advanced Placement Program makes you eligible to reapply for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiography Certification Examination.

Second Semester (fall): 15 weeks
RAD 112 Radiologic Positioning I 3
RAD 124 Principles of Radiographic Exposure 3
Third Semester (winter): 15 weeks
RAD 123 Radiologic Positioning II 3
RAD 125 Radiologic Procedures and Related Anatomy 3
RAD 190 Physical Foundations of Radiology 3
RAD 222 (7.5 weeks) Pharmacology in Diagnostic Imaging 2
Fourth Semester (summer): 12 weeks
RAD 218 (10 weeks) Radiation Biology and Protection 3
RAD 150 Clinical Education (to be arranged) 4
    (Students can only be assigned to an established WCC clinical site.)  
Total Credit Hours for Program: 26
