Faculty Website Setup Instructions

General Instructions
  1. Use any FTP or SFTP software to connect to the courses server, courses.wccnet.edu. For security reasons, we recommend the use of an SFTP capable program, such as WinSCP on Windows or Fugu on MacOS X.

  2. Create a directory called "public_html" on the server.

  3. Place your web files in the "public_html" directory.

  4. The files you placed in "public_html" will be visible to the world at http://courses.wccnet.edu/~username/ (substitute "username" with your username). For example, if you place an image called "mycar.jpg" in the "public_html" directory, then anyone can access that image by going to http://courses.wccnet.edu/~username/mycar.jpg




Your netID and password can be used to create a website. Use the links below for information on how to access and set up your web space.
