Media Services is a department within the division of
Learning Resources. The department provides faculty
instructional support for classrooms, media production and events services.
Classroom Services supports classroom teaching by providing an array of
instructional audio-visual technologies in the classroom, as well as short-term (maximum five days) equipment checkout for faculty and staff. Media Production and Events Services provides sound and lighting support, as well as audio and video recording of conferences and live events.
Media Services also maintains and supports the College's campus wide bulletin board/messaging system. Content for the bulletin board system is provided by Counseling and Career Planning. The television system is controlled at the "Head End" in the BE building using a 16-channel RF distribution system.
The department also organizes vendor-supported presentations of emerging technology for the campus community. In addition, Media Services collaborates with Information Technology Services and Facilities regarding classroom design standards, renovation projects and new construction.
