Media Services is a department within the division of
Learning Resources. The department provides faculty
instructional support for classrooms, media production and events services.
Our Classroom Services area supports classroom teaching by providing an array of
instructional audio-visual technologies in the classroom, as well as short-term (maximum five days) equipment checkout for faculty and staff. Our Media Production and Events Services area provides sound and lighting support, as well as audio and video recording of conferences and live events.
Media Services also collaborates with other College departments on “Advanced Technology” initiatives, such as the Turning Point student response “clicker”, the Panopto Lecture Capture system, and the Tightrope Carousel Digital Signage System.
The department also organizes vendor-supported presentations of emerging technology for the campus community. In addition, Media Services collaborates with Information Technology Services and Facilities regarding classroom design standards, renovation projects and new construction.
