Welcome to Washtenaw Community College's Residential Construction and Design
Programs!
Residential construction in the Washtenaw County area is booming, and more people
than ever are taking advantage of low interest rates to build, remodel, or upgrade
a home. The anticipated growth of jobs in this area is excellent, and so is the
pay! With wages starting at $10-15 an hour for entry level positions, up to $30
an hour for those with more skills and experience, why not consider a career in
residential construction? Someone needs to design, build and remodel these homes
- why not you?
WCC's Residential Construction and Design Programs offer a variety of career options,
with certificate programs you can complete in as little as one semester. Through
more advanced and specialized certificates you can upgrade your skills and sharpen
your talents. Once you have completed those, you can continue and get an Associates
Degree that will transfer to a four year college to complete a Bachelors Degree!
You can choose your path and build your career one step at a time.
To take that first step, check out the program guides on the following pages.
