Tech Prep
What does the Tech Prep program mean to me?
It means earning credits towards a high school diploma and college degree at the same time. Students enrolled in participating
high schools can get a jump start on their college education for free.
Other advantages:
- Prepare early for a technological and competitive job market.
- Get a head start on your career and make a smooth transition into college.
- Control education costs by earning accelerated college credits at no out-of-pocket expenses by applying them toward your
college degree.
- Prepare for a great career while you're still in high school by gaining a greater awareness of future choices.
- Take college-credited classes right at your own high school.
How do I enroll?
Students must be recommended by their high school instructor and must apply for the credit(s) within two years of graduation
from high school. The instructor prepares student performance records and submits all candidates eligible for this program
directly to WCC. However, the student may ask the high school instructor for a recommendation based upon individual academic
performance prior to leaving high school.
