In today's educational environment, technology is not a luxury,
but an essential part of teaching and learning. At WCC, we have
technology that either meets or beats today's industry standards.
Some of the resources available to you as a WCC student are:
Blackboard Information
Blackboard is a commercial web-based course management system that WCC faculty can use to provide
information to their students. Your instructor will tell you if their class uses Blackboard.

Computer Labs
The Computer Commons is a staff-assisted open computer lab where
students can use word processing, spreadsheet, database, and other software as well as have access to the Internet.
WCC also has a number of computer labs that are reserved for the use of students enrolled in specific classes.
Computing Policies: WCC students enjoy certain rights and must
fulfill certain responsibilities to maintain the privilege of using computing resources at WCC.
Computer Purchase Discounts
WCC students can get a discount on a computer purchased from
Dell Computers.
Email Accounts
Students enrolled in
WCC credit classes can communicate with faculty and fellow students using their free
WCC email account. You can get a WCC email account even if you don't use WCC resources to connect to the internet.
Google Apps
If you're taking credit classes WCC provides free access to Google Apps, which let you create and share calendars, documents, spreadsheets, websites, and more.
Mobile WCC
A free app makes it easier to access the College’s website with mobile devices such as smart phones and tablet computers. Versions are available for devices that use the Android or iOS operating systems.
MyWCC
MyWCC is a web interface to Banner (the College Student Records system) that enables credit
WCC students to view personal information, including grades, transcripts, and financial information,
and to register online and pay tuition online. Log in to MyWCC.

WCC hosts many computer groups and professional societies that students,
staff and community members can use to stay current on the latest computer issues.
