Available Scholarships
Burt Black Memorial Fund:
Burt Black was a student at the University of Michigan majoring in Sports Management
and Communication. He also attended Washtenaw Community College and was a 1997
Huron High School graduate. Despite significant physical and learning challenges
throughout his life, Burt persevered, pursued his dreams and worked diligently
toward his goals.
In 2004 a Memorial Fund was established to be awarded to WCC students with learning and/or physical disabilities to help pay for tuition, books, services or equipment directly related to classroom academic achievement. Inquiries
about specific needs should be directed to a Program Specialist in
Learning Support Services (734- 973-3342).

John Lynch Scholarship:
Scholarship award is $1,000.00 per year. Award is given to students attending
Washtenaw Community College and who are visually impaired. Inquires should be directed
to the WCC

Delta Gamma Fund:
Scholarship award varies. Award is given to students attending Washtenaw Community
College and who are visually impaired. Inquires should be directed to the WCC

Washtenaw Learning Disabilities Association:
This scholarship is awarded to graduating High School seniors within Washtenaw
County. The maximum award is $500. Inquires should be directed to WCC Learning
