Borrowing materials

To find books and other materials, search the library catalog. You may then borrow library materials with your WCC ID card.

Borrowing materials without coming to campus

The Library will ship library materials to distance learners contingent upon established guidelines.

Renewing borrowed materials

You can use your WCC netID and PIN to log into your library account and renew your borrowed materials. You may also renew by phone at 734-973-3429.

Borrowing materials from other libraries

You can borrow materials from the statewide MeLCat system or the international OCLC library system.

Researching Journal Databases

Accessing electronic journals in the Library's research databases

Go to Find Articles and A-Z List of Databases. Select a database and authenticate with your WCC netID when prompted.

Borrowing journal articles from other libraries

Contact the WCC Bailey Library's Interlibrary Loan Office at 734-477-8710.

Accessing Library Reserves

For the on-site materials that your instructor has put on library reserves, search for them in the library system and access them in the Library.

For electronic materials that have been put on the ERes system, your instructor will provide you with a direct link on his/her Blackboard course site, as well as a password, to access it. You may also search for the materials in the ERes system.

Accessing Online Library Guides

The Library provides a number of online guides, such as:

• Self-paced Tutorials
• MLA/APA citation guides, course assignment guides, and general how-to guides on Learning Guides
• Selected quality websites in different subject areas and for various academic disciplines on Helpful Web Sites
