Fear of Physics
These people want to end physics' reputation as bad and boring. They take on gravity, roller coasters, pendulums, things that spin, and why satellites don't fall.

Globalchange.gov
"Ask Dr. Global Change" is one of the features of this site that allows users to access answers to specific global change queries from specialists within three days. They can be answered through a data center comprising over 100 government agencies and university and ecological data sites. This site offers a global rather than a U.S. centered focus.

Global Change Master Directory
NASA's GCMD enables users to locate data relevant to global change and research covering all aspects of environmental science. Find data on areas such as agriculture, biosphere, climate indicators, cryosphere, oceans, paleoclimate, sun-earth interactions, and terrestrial hydrosphere.

This "mini-net" explores the solar system its stars, extra solar plantets, theories about the universe, ad the exploration of space. Links to a regular version for a more cursory examination of these topics.

Meterology Education and Training
Site aims to educate and aid atmospheric scientists and students.Topics include fog, flooding, coastal weather, hurricanes and tropical weather, space weather, and the physics of the aurora.

NASA/IPAC Extragalactic Database
Search this database for positions of extragalactic objects. Includes a wealth of review articles, images, and glossary of terms. Presents data for over 7.5 million galactic sources and 2.5 million bibliographic references.

NIST Virtual Library [chemistry]
The National Institute of Standards and Technology offers the most comprehensive and accurate U.S. source of information on scientific and technical subjects. The chemistry page of the NIST Virtual Library provides a portal to information on all aspects of chemistry. It links to other organizations and websites that range in scholarship from the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry to science fair projects. Updated monthly, it provides a vast and deep pool of current chemical information.
