Jim Cogswell: Meanwhile
Colorful and exciting, Cogswell's work originates in the figure; by the time the piece is completed the figure has merged into an abstract design.

Transitions/Translations: Innovations in Fiber
March 28 - May 27, 2005
Throughout the academic year, Gallery One has been exploring issues surrounding the movement that has transformed traditional American Crafts from functional into content based creations. The five artists in "Innovations in Fiber," the third exhibition in the series, have expanded the boundaries of fiber. From technical innovations in the production of commercial fabrics, to the deconstruction of fabrics and furniture, these artists push the limits of the possible.
Artists in the exhibit include:
Lia Cook
Maggie Orth
Liz Sargent
Reiko Sudo
Suzanne Tick
A short artist statement and image from each artist can be seen in the Artist Statement PDF file.
