Jim Cogswell: Meanwhile
Colorful and exciting, Cogswell's work originates in the figure; by the time the piece is completed the figure has merged into an abstract design.

A Journey Through Pakistan
WCC Humanities Instructor Elisabeth Thoburn traveled, on her own, throughout Pakistan in December, 2007. During her remarkable journey amid a culture in turmoil, Thoburn photographed, sometimes from a moving car, the people, the daily life and some of the religious institutions of Pakistan. Among other special moments, she witnessed Pakistan's response to the assassination of Benazir Bhutto. Thoburn was among the few, if not the only, Western traveler to visit Bhutto's tomb shortly after her funeral.
This fascinating exhibition of her photographic record will be on display in GalleryOne through October 10th.
