Colorful and exciting, Cogswell's work originates in the figure; by the time the piece is completed the figure has merged into an abstract design.

At the Junction: Photography
Although still used for record keeping, journalism, advertising, etc., photography, especially with the advent of digital work, has developed into an extremely creative fine art tool. Curated by renowned Detroit photographer Michelle Andonian, this exhibition showcases the creativity and experimentation of the faculty at WCC.
On November 5th, Andonian will speak on Photography: Taking It Personally, a lecture on the transformation of her photography from applied to fine art. A fine arts professional and educator, Andonian's editorial work has appeared in newspapers and magazines world wide. Her advertising and commercial work has been sought after by leading agencies and companies and her photographs are in the permanent collection of the DIA and The Henry Ford.
Reception: November 5th from 5-6:30 in Gallery One
Lecture: November 5th, immediately following the reception in GM, Room 12
