Shredding Procedures
In response to Staff questions about student privacy, there were inquiries about where
to shred class rosters and other sensitive material that might identify a student.
Archives and Records Management has a powerful shredder that will shred documents into
1/2 inch by 1/8 inch pieces. They are open between 8:00am and 5:00pm and there
are three ways to get your documents shredded:
- Box them and drop them off at their office in Gunder Myran, Room GM 232.
- Call Diana Glushyn, Supervisor of Clerical Services, at 973-3351. She will provide a Project Assistance
Form for you to complete. Employees from her office will pick up your boxed or packaged papers to be
shredded and they will actually shred them for you.
Clerical Services will not pick up your material until they are sure they can shred it immediately so
you may have to wait a day or so to be worked into the schedule.
- If you prefer, you can take your papers to Archives and Records Management and they will show you how
to use the machine so that you can shred them yourself.
