Story by Cynthia Cox
Cross Country
The fall cross country season, coached by Mike Glass, is off to a quick start. Tiffany Stoddard finished first in her age group (15-19) at the Red October 5K Run with a time of 23:50. Rachel Jones came in third in the same division at 27:53.
Hockey
The hockey club is off to a great start in the Ann Arbor Ice Cube B League. Head Coach Dan Midura is back for his 5th season, and Assistant Coach Jim Teevens is back again to help the club this year.
Soccer
WCC Club Soccer is an indoor sport until a new field is constructed near the Health & Fitness Center. The club practices and plays at Wide World Sports Center under the direction of Dave Pieske, in his 7th year coaching soccer at WCC. The men's team has been very competitive within their division, with a 5-0 record at present. The women's team is currently playing in a co-ed division and has won all their games but one at this point.
Volleyball
The volleyball club was runner-up in the summer sand league. This fall sees several new players on a co-ed team in the Ann Arbor Rec League. Heidi Ernst has five years of coaching WCC volleyball teams. Casey Bantle has provided additional leadership this fall.
