The WCC Baseball team had been playing well this spring, but had no victories to show for their efforts. That all changed last Saturday afternoon as starting pitcher Matt Fraser turned in a two-hit shutout performance over Barrett‟s for a 2-0 WCC win. Fraser was in complete control throughout the game and WCC recorded their first victory in five attempts.
Jon Jeffrey followed Matt Fraser's great pitching with a gem of his own on Tuesday, June 10 with a 3-2 complete game victory over the Ann Arbor A‟s. Jon had to overcome an error in the final frame to hang on for the victory. Carl Miller made the final fielding play at third base to preserve the win for WCC. The team now stands at 2-4 on the young season heading into their Saturday, June 14 game against the Brewers.
