The Edge » 10th Annual Awards Ceremony
The Club Sports program hosted its 10th Annual Awards Ceremony on Tuesday May 20th at the College's Community Park. The weather was not perfect with a cool breeze and the sun behind the clouds, so we were very happy to see how many people still came out for the event.
The 50 plus attendees included some of the program's coaches and athletes with their families and other guests, as well as a few alumni. Athletes from each 2007-08 sport were presented with plaques honoring their accomplishments.
The Coach of the Year Award was shared by Basketball Coach Cameron Smiley and Baseball Pitching Coach Jason Stafne.

Baseball and Softball Coach Terry Rickard was surprised with an induction into the Club Sports Wall of Champions "for his support and understanding of 'the kids' from the beginning." A plaque with Rickard's name and photo will be hung in the northeast corner of the Student Center Building, along with the former honored champions.

A special congratulations was also given to Coach Smiley and the Men's Basketball team, winners of the Ann Arbor Rec & Ed 2007-08 BB League Championship.
