The Edge » Softball Season Off to a Great Start
The WCC Club Softball team is playing well and currently has a 6-2-1 record. The team plays double headers on Monday evenings. Games start at 6:15 and 7:30 pm and are played at either Veteran's Memorial Park or Allmendinger Park in Ann Arbor.
"The team is exciting to watch and fun to coach", says long time coach and athletic advisor Mike Glass. "Each player on the team has a role to play in the outcome of the contest and they have exceeded my expectations", Glass explained. "I'm very proud of all my players on this team".
With the additions of new players Jennifer Stillman, Kelly McComb and Raymond Spears to go along with some veteran players, the team looks real solid at the season's half-way point. "Coach Terry Rickard has done a great job with the new players. They have been getting extra batting practice and you can see the new players' improvement each game", Glass concluded.
Tournament play begins in mid-July. Don't rule out another softball championship for the Club Softball program. These players are good!
The official calls June 9th game off for severe weather.
