Places to Get Academic Advising and Counseling
Academic Advising
All students are strongly urged to see an academic advisor or counselor before registering. The advisor can give you specific information about programs or areas of study, including certificate/degree requirements and transfer information. Academic advisors can also help you select courses.

We are now offering online "real time" office appointments through the Internet. These appointments are designed to give information in a timely fashion and for students who wish to talk to a live person without having to visit Washtenaw Community College to talk to an academic advisor in person. Learn more about this experience and schedule an appointment. Online "real time" office appointments are suggested for students who have a webcam and audio capabilities and are a distance from our campus.
Adult Transitions Program
Adult Transitions provides counseling, skill building, and
job education services for people who need new skills in today's
work environment. Short-term, pre-college refresher courses
in reading, writing, mathematics and critical thinking are
available as well as a GED preparation class.

Counseling and Career Planning
Counselors are available to help students make career changes
and career decisions. Self-paced interest testing, career-related
e-Books, and one-on-one counseling aid students in the decision
process. Counseling and social work staff also work closely
with students experiencing personal or emotional problems.
Counselors can also help you select courses.
Counseling Online is also available to get your advising or career questions answered.
International Student Services
One-on-one counseling as well as academic and immigration
advising are available at Washtenaw Community College for
students from around the world. International students with
F-1 visas may be admitted providing they meet certain requirements.
WCC is authorized to issue the I-20 form for those who qualify.

Learning Support Services
Learning Support Services assists students with disabilities and
students who are economically disadvantaged or limited in their English
proficiency. Tutors, interpreters, and readers, as well as
specialized computer software and one-on-one assessments make
Learning Support Services a valuable resource for many WCC

Student Resource and Women's Center
The SRWC offers academic advising, career advising, educational planning, mentoring, grant funding for attendence costs, workshops, cultural events and connections to community resources. Contact the Student Resource and Women's Center at 734-677-5105 or stop by SC 287.
