Language Arts: Writing Skills (2 hrs.)
Grammar (1 hr.15 min.)
Measures ability to use Standard English clearly and effectively.
35% Sentence Structure

30% Spelling, Punctuation, Capitalization.
Essay (45 min.)
Tests composition skills. Examinee must write a 200 word essay on a specific topic assigned during this testing session.
Social Studies (70 min.)
Consists of a collection of maps, graphs, charts, cartoons, and short reading passages related to the area of social science. Examinee must be able to comprehend and interpret the contents of each passage.

Science. (80 min.)
Consists of a combination of general knowledge questions, and reading passages related to the natural sciences. Examinee should have the working knowledge of basic scientific data and be able to comprehend and interpret the content of each reading passage.

Measures ability to read and logically evaluate selected passages from various literary works.
