Instructor Guidelines
We give over 80,000 tests annually. The guidelines below will help get the correct test to your students and back to you again.
- Print your name, class code, and test number on all documents.
- If you are using Scantron forms, provide enough test documents for at least 50% of your students. Please supply your own Scantrons.
- Enter all test information into our information system at least 24 hours before the start of the test.
- If you are using Blackboard, show your students where you have placed the test within the program (e.g., announcements, course documents, course information, etc.).
- To strengthen our testing procedures, breaks during exams are not allowed.
- If you are a Chemistry 090 Instructor, please show your students how to use the TI-30xa calculator.
- Instructors should pick up all their test materials before grades are due.
- Prior to using the Center, please review the items below under the heading 'Testing Center rules for Students' with your students.
- Blackboard tests given in the Testing Center are launched in ‘kiosk mode,’ so any external links inside your tests will not show up.
- The Testing Center does not collect homework or other work form the students.
Final Exams
Please keep in mind that the Testing Center has 25 computer stations and 48 seats for paper tests. During finals week some students are waiting over an hour to take an exam. To reduce the wait time during finals week, we strongly recommend that you schedule your final exams to be completed in class.
Please note that the College does not permit students to test during your class period.
Thank you for using the Testing Center. We enjoy providing testing services to help you maximize your instructional time.
