WorkKeys

WorkKeys is a comprehensive employability skills system designed to help employers and individuals develop better workplace skills. WorkKeys was developed by ACT, a national testing organization. Washtenaw Community College is an approved WorkKeys Center.

Individuals and companies can choose to use one or all components of WorkKeys:
  • Job Profiling is a process used to identify the skills required for successful job performance in eight fundamental workplace skills. Profiles can be developed for a specific job within a company (Job Profile), or generically for an occupation (Occupational Profile).
  • WorkKeys Assessments are a set of tests that measure the skills people use to learn quickly and solve problems. An individual's skill levels may be assessed in up to eight skill areas, including Math, Reading, Writing, Locating Information, Listening, Applied Technology, Teamwork, and Observation.
  • Targeted Instructional Support is available to help employees, potential employees and students develop the skill levels necessary for success.
