Payment of Financial Aid
With the exception of Federal Work Study, financial aid funds will automatically be disbursed to your student account, provided your application is complete and you have met the requirements for each aid type. The Cashier's Office
automatically will deduct costs (tuition, fees, contact hour fees, and other authorized charges, such as books
and supplies) out of the financial aid that is credited to your account. Any remaining financial aid is refunded
to you according to the dates set by the Cashier's Office. Refunds will be issued either by electronic fund transfer
to your bank account (direct deposit) or a paper check mailed to your home.
Private scholarship checks received by the college will be directly applied to your student account unless otherwise
specified by the scholarship donor. When the Financial Aid Office is notified, it will be listed as part of your aid
package as an "external scholarship."
**Please note: Federal Regulations require the first disbursement of a Stafford Loan to be delayed 30 days after
the start of classes for first time college students.
