Financial Aid

Attention Financial Aid Applicants

It takes planning to get ready for college. The Financial Aid Office can help you discover the different types of financial aid that may be available.

What you need to know for the Spring/Summer 2012 semester:

  • In order to maximize your financial aid eligibility, it is recommended that you submit your 2011-2012 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by April 15, 2012 for the Spring/Summer 2012 semester.
  • Be sure to read your WCC email. It is how the Financial Aid Office communicates with you!
  • In order to be awarded financial aid, all documents and actions requested by the Financial Aid Office must be submitted.
  • If you are a new financial aid student, you must verify your program of study. Don’t worry, we will tell you exactly how this is done.
  • After processing applications that were submitted by April 15, 2012, the Financial Aid Office will begin processing late applications. The applications will be processed in the order they were received.
What this means for late applicants:

  • You may need to make payment arrangements or your classes will be dropped.
  • You may need to pay for books and supplies out of pocket.
  • Your refund may not be issued until late in the semester.
  • Your award letter and any verification of award information may be delayed.
Paying Tuition

You should have your financial aid finalized (required documents turned in and processed) by the payment deadline to keep your seat. Visit Paying Tuition for deadlines.
