Qualifying for Financial Aid

To qualify for federal financial aid and most other forms of financial aid at WCC, you:
  1. Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen.

  2. Must have a high school diploma or GED or achieve college-level minimum scores on the COMPASS assessment test (writing 32, reading 62, pre-algebra 25).

  3. Must meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress Standard.

  4. Must not possess a bachelor's degree (unless applying for a student loan only).

  5. Must show Financial Need according to WCC's need calculation when applying for student loans.

  6. Must be in a financial aid eligible program. See the Forms page for the Acceptable Programs Worksheet.

  7. Must successfully complete the application process given on the Applying for Financial Aid page.
