Orientation

The WCC orientation process consists of an Online Orientation and an In-Person Orientation. During these sessions, WCC staff will give you an overview of the College and how to be a successful student. You must submit an online application for admission, and be notified that it has been accepted, before you begin orientation.

After you complete Orientation you may go through Placement Testing, if needed, and visit an advisor who can help you select and schedule classes.

Online Orientation

All applicants are required to participate in Online Orientation.

In-Person Orientation

Most applicants are required to participate in In-Person Orientation.

To find out if you need to participate, log in to MyWCC and view your Applicant Checklist.

If you need to participate in an In-Person Orientation, view the list of In-Person Orientation Sessions.

You may also apply for exemption from In-Person Orientation by submitting one of the following to the Student Connection:
  1. Official documentation of completion of 15 or more academic credit hours from an accredited U.S. college with a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 ("C") or above on a 4.0 scale, or
  2. Official documentation of completion of a bachelor or graduate degree from an approved English-speaking college or university, or
  3. Documentation of your status as a Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Visteon, or other approved apprentice, or
  4. A valid guest student application from your home institution.
